Google’s stance on GDPR impacts SEO

Google’s stance on GDPR impacts SEO

February 12, 2019

Even if you do not have any European’s in your mailing list, Google is still enforcing privacy protection in ways that will impact your SEO. If you disregarded the May 25 implementation of Europe’s privacy regulations, you may be sending a negative signal to Google.

We have coached our clients to be proactive. Adding a privacy policy to their websites and transitioning their websites to https, which is the designation for a secure website, signals to Google that their websites are taking definitive action to protect consumer privacy.
